The Organising Committee of Race in the City has planned a varied programme of events accompanying the FIS Cross-Country World Cup event due to be held in Milan. A Nordic village is now being erected just a few minutes walk from the inner-city ski circuit. It will operate in close conjunction with the race events and from Friday the 13th of January it will host booths and promotional areas reserved for the partners, sponsors and various businesses that are supporting the event.

The programme of the Nordic village involves several initiatives that will entertain the spectators of Race in the City, starting from the early hours of the morning and continuing well beyond the end of the main competition events. They will include demonstrations and presentations of products, tastings of characteristic culinary products representing the best traditions of Italian food, animation, entertainment and live music. There will also be play areas especially dedicated to children for entertaining them and having fun.
